The kids and I have been so excited for Spring Break. We sat down a few weeks ago and brainstormed some ideas for the week off. Everyone got to come up with an idea for the five days we would have. On our first day it was a combination of me wanting to get a project done and the boys needing a space to call their own. The playroom has become a dangerous place for their legos. The little girls like to destroy their creations and it is a choking hazard having all those little pieces laying around. They have a little loft in their room that has been kind of a waste land up until now. We had a TV up there so they could watch movies, some bean bags, and a bunch of mattresses and a bed from our old condo in St. George. We decided to make it their Lego room instead of a storage heap.
We took tons of stuff out of the room and I went to IKEA for some great organization pieces, some shelves, and a table to build legos on. We got a lot done, and the room looks so much better than it did. There are still a few things I want to do, but for now it is great. Now the boys can build legos without the worry of little hands getting into everything. It feels good to have at least one room in the house clean and organized.
